Darkroom Door Stamps Pink and Orange Journal Layout

Hi guys, I'm sharing the last few pages in my year long journal round robin with you.  Today's spread was for my amazing friend Susan, who is crazy over bright and happy designs.  She chose the colors Pink & Orange for her theme.  (Sorry for these weirdly lit photos - it was snowing outside...)

This was the biggest challenge for me because I usually do grungy drab color work - lol!  I decided to channel my inner Rachel Greig and do some happy journaling with these amazing Darkroom Door stamps.

I based my design around the Wander quote stamp.

I used a funky mandala stencil and my Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals in Plumeria Pink and Magical Mai Tai from the Hawaiian Islands Flat Magicals Set.  I put a pile of paper towels beneath the papers so I could spray water and move the color around without damaging the other girls' pages.

I edged my pages with stamps from the Grunge Marks set.  The embossed circle is from Coffee Time and I layered with a circle die cut.  I curled the wings of the Butterfly Ecclectic Stamp and perched him on the layers.

In case you missed my earlier posts, you can see my vintage lace spread HERE.

And my Native American spread HERE.

And my spread in my own Aqua/Green journal HERE.

These vibrant colours may not be your "go to" hues, but you rocked them all the same. I love what you've created here and admire the results you achieved with the thick texture and that gorgeous butterfly. Lovely to see the additional pages to your journal too.

Oh wow - all of your journal creations are totally BEAUTIFUL... just STUNNING. But of course, this ORANGE one is my favorite. As you know, I have an orange fetish!!! My second fav is the Dreamer of Dreams because of all the lacy filigree designs! It is so elegant but at the same time 'alive'!! I love watching you create Autumn - always have!!! Merry Christmas dear friend and thank you so much for always being such a fabulous encourager to me. XXj.

Well hello! Glad you wandered to SOS this week to share this lovely pink and warm journal layout! The Magicals look, well, *magical* with that so-called funky (fab) mandala. Thanks for linking up, and I'm loving your other works as well! Do you ever sleep??? 💗

Wow! You do bright just as well as you do deep, moody colors, my friend! Just amazing depth to these pages with with your layers of inks, embossing powders and pastes. The mandala stenciling is the BEST, and now I am inspired to use mine that has been long forgotten about. I love how you've repeated it so subtly on the right page in deeper colors. Speaking of colors, the way you have blended them on these pages is superb! The white rings and bold black embossing just pop off this background and make for an awesome journal spread! I know Susan is going to love this!

I have to say my favorite pages are the ones you did in your own book, and may be very well the reason I had such a hard time letting go of your book! Ha! Ha! What a pleasure it was to participate in this RR with you--thank you for inviting me to play along! Merry Christmas, my dear friend!

Love the bright sunshine happy colors with the wonderful art work and the sentiment. They all go together so well to create a feeling of warmth & happiness. Loved seeing your other 'blue' journal pages, and your layering skills, the materials used, the designs - all just seem so cohesive and work well together. To me, that is a mysterious art in itself! (I remember the snow day!) TFS, Hugs & Merry Christmas
